Kristaps Porzingis

For the most part, New York Knicks phenom Kristaps Porzingis struggled against the Charlotte Hornets. He stepped up during the clutch, however, by making huge plays in major moments on both ends of the floor.

Whether it was a clutch 3 with time winding down or a massive block on a big man in motion, Porzingis found ways to change the game.

Porzingis has the unique ability to influence a game without the use or effectiveness of his shot. He’s improving as a passer, is working harder on the boards, and is one of the most dynamic defensive players in the NBA.

The fact that he’s ready and willing to step up in the clutch is the icing on the proverbial cake for the player who’s the key to New York’s postseason aspirations.

Even on a poor shooting night from the field, Porzingis managed to post 16 points, eight rebounds, two offensive boards, two assists, three blocks, and a steal. He made four 3-point field goals, including two in the fourth quarter and another in overtime.

Porzingis made critical plays during the biggest of moments, which is why he’s one of the fastest rising stars in the NBA.
