The New York Knicks have rebounded brilliantly from opening the season at 3-6. Team chemistry is still a work in progress, but the Knicks are beginning to look the part of a contender in the Eastern Conference.

On Friday, November 25, the Knicks returned to Madison Square Garden with a chance to get above .500 for the first time this season.

New York hosted the Charlotte Hornets in the first leg of a home and home. In what was a true back-and-forth affair, the Knicks recorded a 113-111 overtime victory against a postseason-caliber opponent.

With the overtime win, the Knicks improve to 8-7 through 15 games and 5-1 since losing to the Toronto Raptors on November 13.

With five wins in six games, the Knicks have firmly solidified their place as one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Sustainability will be the key, but New York is looking the part of a force in the Eastern Conference.

The question is: who stepped up to help the New York Knicks achieve an above-.500 record with a 113-111 overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets?
