Original Logo On Short Sleeve Jersey

The NBA usually introduces unique Christmas Day jerseys for the slate of games on the holiday. In 2013, the Association brought in the short sleeve jersey. The Knicks wore orange short sleeve shirts when the team hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There are a few teams that use the short sleeve jersey in the league. Westchester should follow in the footsteps of the Legends, Austin Spurs and Erie Bayhawks.

Westchester’s jersey could be similar to the one the Knicks donned in their Christmas game, where the D-League team uses their affiliate’s primary orange and blue colors.

If dubKnicks followed the Knicks’ Christmas Day jersey, the team should incorporate their current logo on the jersey.

Westchester’s primary logo is similar to the logo New York used when the team was founded in 1946. The Knicks logo is a modified version of the team’s original logo of “Father Knickerbocker” dribbling a basketball.

The current logo has meaning to it. The New York Knicks started using the logo during their first season in the BBA (Basketball Association of America) and used it for 17 years. The dubKnicks should embrace the history of the Knickerbockers and consider using their current logo on a jersey.
