Kristaps Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis made a grand total of zero field goals during the 118-99 loss to the Houston Rockets. That made his performance against the Chicago Bulls quite encouraging, as he shot early and often against a tough interior unit.

Porzingis still isn’t looking as confident as he should when working from inside the 3-point line, but his shooting touch continues to be a powerful weapon.

Porzingis finished with 27 points, five rebounds, two offensive rebounds, and one assist in 33 minutes of action against the Bulls. He did so on 10-of-15 shooting from the field, 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range, and 3-of-5 shooting from the free throw line.

It was a brilliant performance from Porzingis, who seemed to relish the opportunity to go up against fellow Liga ACB alum Nikola Mirotic.

Porzingis has no trouble shooting the 3-ball, whether off the catch or off of a dribble. After looking somewhat uncomfortable early, he did an excellent job of going to the post and utilizing his size advantage.

The Knicks are building the future of the organization around Porzingis, which makes this game a promising sign for the future.
