Brandon Jennings

The New York Knicks needed to keep the ball moving and Brandon Jennings helped them do exactly that. He came in off the bench and helped facilitate what was easily the Knicks’ best offensive performance of the season.

It was a brilliant showing by Jennings, who continued to prove that he doesn’t need to score in order to make a big impact on the game.

Jennings finished with seven points, seven assists, five rebounds, and a 3-point field goal made in 23 minutes of play. He shot 2-of-4 from the field, 1-of-3 from beyond the arc, and split a pair of late free throws.

Despite taking just four shots, Jennings played an invaluable role and was on the floor as the Knicks fought off Chicago’s fourth quarter run.

Jennings closed out this victory, which is a testament to how much faith Jeff Hornacek has placed in him. He committed just one turnover and did an absolutely fantastic job of setting the table for his shooters.

If this is a sign of things to come for Jennings and the Knicks, then the second unit may just survive the 2016-17 NBA regular season.
