Brandon Jennings
Brandon Jennings spent the 2016 NBA preseason dazzling the fans at Madison Square Garden and the away venues. His shot wasn’t falling, but that wasn’t too concerning considering how well he played in other areas.
Jennings came to life as a scorer during the third quarter of the game against the Brooklyn Nets, thus rounding out what was a tremendous all-around performance.
How could you not love Jennings’ passion for the game?
Jennings is bringing New York back to the Knicks. He’s playing the flashy style that intrigues the masses, all the while providing the substance that his team needs in order to achieve success.
Even if nothing else has been established, it’s perfectly clear that Jennings can be a dynamic playmaker in Jeff Hornacek’s offense.
Jennings finished with eight points, six assists, six rebounds, and four steals in 24 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets. He shot just 3-of-9 from the field, but went 3-of-5 on 2-point field goals and got to the line for three free throw attempts.
Jennings still needs to find his jump shot, but he’s already looking comfortable as a facilitator—something the Knicks haven’t truly had in quite some time.
