New York Knicks: Players Who Stood Out Against Boston Celtics
Sasha Vujacic
New York Knicks fans may not want to admit this, but few players have looked better this preseason than Sasha Vujacic. Both in games and at practices, Vujacic has consistently provided a positive impact on the court.
That continued to be true against the Boston Celtics, when Vujacic stepped up as both a scorer and a facilitator—again.
Vujacic scored in double figures for the third time in four games. He finished with 12 points, four assists, one rebound, and a steal on 5-of-8 shooting from the field, 1-of-4 from 3-point range, and 1-of-1 from the free throw line.
With the consistent quality of his performances, Vujacic is forcing Knicks fans to reluctantly applaud his efforts.
Vujacic has excelled in practices and games, which implies he could have a quality year in Jeff Hornacek’s offense. He can attack closeouts, facilitate the offense, and space the floor with his consistently efficient jump shot.
It may not be the easiest thing to wrap one’s head around, but Vujacic is stepping up for the Knicks.

With just one more win, the Knicks would finish the preseason with a winning record.
