J.P. Tokoto

J.P. Tokoto is one of the most effortlessly dynamic athletes you’ll find across the professional basketball scene. He’s a wonderfully explosive leaper who plays above the rim and often finds ways to bring a crowd to its feet.

Tokoto showed that he’s much more than just an athlete who can jump against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, October 19.

Tokoto recorded eight points, three assists, two rebounds, one offensive board, and three steals in 22 minutes of action. He shot 3-of-6 from the field, 0-of-1 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-4 from the free throw line.

Tokoto’s shooting is still an issue, but he could be a valuable player to have in Westchester if he doesn’t make the main roster.

Tokoto is more than just an explosive athlete or a dunk artist. He’s a capable facilitator who can handle the ball, create penetration, and run the fast break as either a distributor or an above-the-rim finisher.

Tokoto’s big game could be enough to validate the Knicks bringing him back to Westchester in 2016-17.
