New York Knicks: Players Who Stood Out Against Boston Celtics
Kristaps Porzingis
If there were any concerns about his groin going into this game, Kristaps Porzingis certainly silenced the critics. He recorded yet another high-scoring game and displayed his unparalleled defensive potential.
Porzingis has looked the part of an All-Star throughout the preseason, and Wednesday’s clash with the Boston Celtics is no exception.
Porzingis tallied 20 points, three rebounds, one offensive board, one assist, three blocks, and two steals in 23 minutes. He shot 7-of-13 from the field and converted all six of his free throw attempts.
It was Porzingis’ second 20-point game and his fourth game at or above 50 percent shooting from the field this preseason.
Whether he was running the floor, posting up, diving off of high screens, or working the perimeter, Porzingis did it all. Far bigger than the numbers was yet another display of how the Knicks’ future franchise player is expanding his game.
If Porzingis continues to work this hard on improving, he’s going to be a dominant force in the NBA.
