Courtney Lee

The New York Knicks haven’t received much production from Courtney Lee during the 2016 NBA preseason. Lee put to rest any skepticism about his ability to contribute during the open practice at Madison Square Garden.

Lee was lights out as a shooter, dominating the defenders given the envious task of going up against the Knicks’ new addition.

Lee scored eight points in 24 minutes during the preseason opener, but he’s since been quiet as far as numbers are concerned. He’s scored 12 points in the three games that have followed, but the statistics aren’t what people should be focusing on.

As he showed throughout the open practice, Lee has the ability to shoot, attack off the bounce, and thrive as an occasional facilitator.

Lee has five assists over the past two games, and he continued to show his quality handles and court vision during the open practice. He shot beautifully from 3-point range and midrange during the drills and scrimmage.

If Lee continues to be confident as a shooter and slasher, he can be the glue New York needs on offense.
