Compared to the previous three expansion teams— Erie BayHawks, Reno Bighorns and Maine Red Claws— the Westchester Knicks didn’t have a stellar inaugural season in the NBA D-League.

Those three teams managed to win at least 25 games in their first season in the D-League. The BayHawks (27 wins) and Bighorns (25 wins) accomplished that during the 2008-09 season, and the Red Claws (27 wins) narrowly missed the playoffs in their inaugural season.

Even though Westchester didn’t have success like Erie, Reno, or Maine during their first season in the D-League, the Knicks saw progress in their second season.

Not only did Westchester have an awful inaugural season, but the Knicks had one of the worst seasons in NBA D-League history.

The 2009-10 Springfield Armor, now the Grand Rapids Drive, posted a worse record (7-43). The 2010-11 Sioux Falls Skyforce finished the season with a 10-40 record, which was the same record the Knicks finished the 2014-15 season with.

A 10-win season was a low point for the Knicks. But Westchester couldn’t get any worse.

Not only did the Westchester Knicks add a new head coach in Mike Miller, but the roster was upgraded, as well. The Knicks brought back a couple of players from their inaugural season, added players in the D-League Draft, brought in a few players via trade during the season, and saw Cleanthony Early receive several assignments to Westchester.

All of the additions to the team were significant. The Knicks saw their win total increase by 18 and made their first appearance in the NBA D-League Playoffs.

After finishing the season with a 28-22 record and the fourth seed in the D-League Eastern Conference, what were the top three games of the 2015-16 season?
