Dazzling Against Detroit

Date: December 19, 2015
Opponent: Detroit Pistons
Result: 147-144 OT, L
Stat Line: 54 minutes, 34 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 14/34 FG, 1/3 3PT, 5/5 FT

Whether explosive or otherwise, there’s no denying the fact that Derrick Rose is built for the big moments. Whether it’s a buzzer-beater or an overtime battle, Rose is a consistent threat to step up when the game on the line.

Though the Chicago Bulls lost to the Detroit Pistons on December 19, 2015, Rose proved, once again, why he’s as popular as he is.

Matched up with rising star Reggie Jackson, Rose poured in a season-high 34 points on 14-of-34 shooting. He also dished out eight assists and pulled down a respectable four rebounds in what was an excellent showing.

Forget about shooting percentages; Rose played 54 minutes in a single game, which is a testament to his will power and endurance.

In a clash with one of the best point guards in the Eastern Conference, Rose proved, once again, that he can hold his own. He was willing to facilitate, albeit with an unrelenting approach to putting points on the board.

Chicago may have lost this game, but Rose showed flashes of being the big-time player that he once was and still could be.
