The New York Knicks have revamped and reloaded the roster. What is every free agency signing’s key strength entering the 2016-17 season?

For the third consecutive season, the New York Knicks will enter training camp with an almost entirely new roster. Phil Jackson has done a progressive rebuild that’s offered no sympathy for those not pulling their weight.

The question is: what exactly are the new additions bringing to the table?

New York will return Lou Amundson, Carmelo Anthony, Kyle O’Quinn, Kristaps Porzingis, Lance Thomas, and Sasha Vujacic from the 2015-16 squad. Beyond that group, however, this is an entirely new squad with generally unfamiliar faces.

That includes head coach Jeff Hornacek, who will replace Kurt Rambis—who replaced Derek Fisher—in an attempt to halt the coaching carousel.

Every one of the players who will join the Knicks in 2016-17 offers something that New York can benefit from. Not every player is versatile or well-rounded, but most signees are specialists whom Hornacek can plug into a specific role.

Every one of the players signed brings something new and special to the roster, but what are their greatest respective skills?
