3. Kristaps Porzingis
This is the most ambitious of the reasons listed. Kristaps Porzingis is far from guaranteed to be a championship-caliber player in the NBA. That’s a part of the reality that no one is guaranteed to be a championship-caliber player.
If Porzingis continues to develop in the way that many expect him to, however, Anthony could win a championship in a secondary role.
Porzingis was historically productive during his rookie season. He became the first rookie in NBA history to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 blocks, and 75 3-point field goals.
If that’s a sign of things to come, then Anthony has the perfect partner in crime on the path to an elusive championship.
Porzingis isn’t just a unicorn; he’s an absolute warrior. He accepts nothing but victory, is a workhorse in the gym and on the practice court, and has an unrelenting desire to achieve greatness.
Anthony has the type of skill set that should extend his NBA career. If that proves to be the case, then Porzingis can help him win.
