2. D-League Depth

The Westchester Knicks have done an excellent job of producing players for the New York Knicks to evaluate. Langston Galloway spent two seasons in New York and a number of other players received 10-day contracts.

If Mike Miller’s crew is going to continue to grow, then it’d make sense to gamble on high-upside players.

Williams would have no problem starting out in the D-League.

"“Without a problem. Without a doubt. I wouldn’t mind working in the D-League. Getting the experience and learning the offense, and if those guys need me to come up and help, I’d be ready and willing to do it.”"

Chaz Williams can step in as an open-minded workhorse and vocal leader who can help Westchester improve. Phil Jackson clearly values the D-League affiliate, which means he has a vested interest in its success.

During his time spent away from the game, Williams focused on improving upon the issues that plagued him during his first D-League stint.

"From the previous years, it was shooting. This whole summer, I didn’t play in any summer ball tournaments, no street ball. I just focused on my game and my body to get it back to where I think it deserves to be."

That showed at the RBA Showcase, where he pulled up and spotted up for successful 3-point field goals.

If Williams comes into Westchester with an improve jump shot, he’d be the complete offensive package. He can run the fast break, facilitate and score off of the pick and roll, and even work off-ball.

He needs direction from an involved coaching staff, but Williams has the raw skills to be a standout performer for the Westchester Knicks.
