Honorable Mention: The Spin Move & The Shot That Didn’t Count

Picking the honorable mention for this list was one of the most painful writing tasks imaginable. Thus, the right thing to do is throw caution to the wind and accept my flaws by selecting two.

The first moment on this list may seem insignificant to outsiders, but The Spin Move was more than just a play; it was a happening.

In his first regular season appearance at Madison Square Garden, Porzingis showed fans exactly what he has to offer. Porzingis chased down a loose ball, spun around three-time All-Star Paul Millsap, and threw down a tomahawk jam.

The second honorable mention goes to a play that didn’t actually count.

On Wednesday, November 11, Porzingis finished with 10 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocks in 32 minutes. He nearly got to 13 points with an incredible game-winner at the buzzer, but he released the shot a millisecond too late.

Fortunately for Knicks fans, Porzingis later got his revenge. We’ll touch on that soon.
