2. Finally A Postseason Win
With the New York Knicks trailing the Miami Heat 3-0 in the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire needed to do something special. Anthony dropped 41 points, and Stoudemire added 20 points and 10 rebounds on 8-of-13 shooting.
The result was an 89-87 win over the Miami Heat that became the Knicks’ first postseason victory since 2001.
11 years removed from the last time New York won a playoff game, the Anthony and Stoudemire union ended the ultimate drought. Though they may not have achieved what many expected them to, STAT and ‘Melo made vital progress.
None of that would’ve been possible if not for Stoudemire’s shocking decision to sign with the lowly Knicks in 2010.

If this victory did anything, it reunited Knicks fans as they collectively let out a massive sigh of relief.
