The New York Knicks have two high-quality point guards, but both have injury concerns. One of these free agent point guards could provide the necessary depth.

The New York Knicks have made dangerous upgrades at the point guard position. Both Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings have the capacity for a great season, but both are coming off of injury-plagued 2015-16 campaigns.

Thus, the Knicks must turn to free agency for a valuable commodity that’s too often overlooked: depth.

With two high-caliber players already on the roster, it’d be irrational to sign another player who needs touches and minutes. Thus, the Knicks’ search for a third point guard should take it down the path of veterans and young guns with something to prove.

Fortunately for Phil Jackson, five players are available who could all fill that role to perfection.

In some instances, the players are young and hungry to prove they belong in the NBA. In others, veterans remain on the open market with an affordable price tag and value both on and off the court.

The question is, who should the Knicks sign to provide necessary depth behind Jennings and Rose on the depth chart?
