2. Offensive Versatility
It’d be quite easy to group Maurice Ndour with the other power forwards who can convert the 3-point shot. Rather than merely calling him a stretch 4, however, it must be acknowledged that Ndour is far more than just a shooter.
Throughout his collegiate career and his 2015 Summer League tenure, Ndour showed an ambitious offensive skill set.
In an off-ball capacity, Ndour does an excellent job of running the floor in transition and finding openings in the half court. As a testament to his basketball IQ, he seems to have a solid understanding of how to space the floor without the ball in his hands.
When the ball comes his way, Ndour is a legitimate threat from beyond the arc.
Ndour made 45 3-point field goals on 38.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc in two seasons with the Ohio Bobcats. He’s also a capable straight-line finisher with a solid spin move and the ability to play above the rim.
Ndour isn’t yet polished on the offensive end, but he has the skills in place to be honed and developed—more than many 24-year-old big men can say.
