2. 3-Point Shooting

The New York Knicks need to improve from beyond the arc. Point guard Derrick Rose is inconsistent from 3-point range, and the combination of Justin Holiday and Courtney Lee are efficient, but not necessarily explosive from distance.

If there’s one area of Sasha Vujacic’s game that projects to translate well to Jeff Hornacek’s offense, it’s his 3-point shooting.

In 539 games played, Vujacic has made 510 3-point field goals on 37.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He’s made at least 50 3-point field goals in six different seasons, including the 118 he made on 43.7 percent shooting in 2007-08.

For a more recent and relevant example, Vujacic converted 52 3-point field goals on 36.4 percent shooting from distance in 2015-16.

Vujacic converted 36.1 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3-point field goal attempts during the 2015-16 season. He also knocked down 38.1 percent of his 3-point field goal attempts off of pull-ups.

Whether Vujacic plays a featured role or one with limited minutes, his ability to space the floor could prove invaluable.
