5. Proven Overseas

Mindaugas Kuzminskas began his career in Lithuania’s LKL—a league he thoroughly conquered at a young age. By the time he was 24 years of age, he was already a four-time All-Star with two LKL championships and a Finals MVP award.

During his three-year stint in Spain’s vaunted Liga ACB, Kuzminskas has proven that he’s every bit as good as those accolades imply he is.

Since joining Unicaja in 2013, Kuzminskas has been one of the more respected offensive players in Liga ACB. His versatility has helped him become a fan favorite locally, and his production has landed him a spot as the focal point of many opponents’ game plan.

Having starred in Lithuania and lived up to the hype in both Liga ACB and Euroleague play, it’s safe to say that Kuzminskas is more than just another flash in the pan.

Kuzminskas has played against NBA-caliber competition in the past. He excelled for Lithuania at the 2014 FIBA World Cup, even going off against a Team USA roster that was flush with interior and perimeter talent.

Kuzminskas certainly has something to prove in the NBA, but he’s excelled at every level he’s reached thus far.
