Evan Fournier, Restricted Free Agent

Age: 23 (10/29/1992)
Slash Line: .462/.400/.836
Season Averages: 32.5 MPG, 15.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.2 SPG, 2.0 3PM

Evan Fournier is an inconsistent defensive player who flat-out needs to improve on that end of the floor. Having established that, Fournier is a sharpshooting wing who’d be an absolutely perfect fit in Jeff Hornacek’s system.

A 6’7″ wing who can shoot the lights out, Fournier would be an excellent complement to Derrick Rose as a floor-spacer who can put the ball on the floor.

Fournier has converted at least 37.6 percent of his 3-point field goals in all four of his NBA seasons. In 2015-16, he made 156 3-point field goals on 40.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

In 2015-16, Fournier joined Stephen Curry, Kawhi Leonard, J.J. Redick, and Klay Thompson as the only players to average at least 15.0 points on a slash line of .450/.400/.800 or better.

Fournier, who will turn 24 at the start of the 2016-17 season, has tremendous upside as a scorer. He had two 30-point games and 24 outings with at least 20 points in 2015-16, and that’s without an offensive system that’d actually cater to his strengths.

If the Knicks were to sign Fournier, the likes of Rose, Carmelo Anthony, and Kristaps Porzingis, would receive the necessary spacing to attack.
