Assembling The 2016-2017 Knicks Dream Team

With the use of a rising salary cap, trades, and the 2016 NBA Draft, our Jemayel Mall assembles the ultimate 2016-17 New York Knicks team.
The New York Knicks are once again in a position to make a splash in the offseason. Last year didn’t bode as well as many had hoped, to say the least. And to top it all off, the Knicks do not have any draft picks (first or second round) heading into the 2016 NBA Draft.
But the Knicks will have anywhere between $20 to $32 million in cap space (now that the actually salary cap figures have been released) depending on player options.
As dire as their circumstances may seem, the Knicks can still assemble a Dream Team for the 2016-2017 season. This scenario includes potential trades and the Knicks getting lucky in free agency.
It will take all of the Zen Master’s tricks and a little help from the Basketball Gods to pull off such a feat, but the Knicks can be contenders as early as next season.
