The 2016 NBA Draft will be held on Thursday, June 23. The event will go a long way towards determining the future of the Association, as well as the future of the New York Knicks.

New York may not currently own a draft pick, but that’s unlikely to remain true for very long.

The Knicks are actively searching for ways to acquire a selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. There’s no guaranteeing that New York will be able to achieve this feat, but team president Phil Jackson has a track record of making moves on draft night.

According to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv, the Knicks intend to purchase a late first or early second-round draft pick.

Ian Begley of ESPN New York was the first to report the Knicks’ interest in moving into the draft.

In 2014, Jackson went from having no draft picks to acquiring both Cleanthony Early at No. 34 and Thanasis Antetokounmpo at No. 51. In 2015, Jackson traded for Jerian Grant at No. 19 and Willy Hernangomez at No. 35 after selecting Kristaps Porzingis at No. 4.

The question is, which team may be willing to strike a deal with the draft-hungry Knicks?
