Con: Can’t Stay Healthy

For as appealing as Bradley Beal may be, it’s hard to get behind him. That has nothing to do with what he does on or off the court, but instead the elephant in the room that simply must be discussed.

For as gifted a player as Beal may be, he just can’t seem to stay healthy.

Beal missed 26 games during his rookie season, but went on to play 73 of a possible 82 games in 2013-14. Unfortunately, Beal missed 19 games during the 2014-15 regular season, and was sidelined for 27 games in 2015-16.

Beal continues to improve as a player, but he can’t stay on the court long enough for his impact to be felt.

Beal has been banged up more than he’s been severely injured, but the injuries were bad enough for him to miss significant time. He’s experienced multiple stress reactions in his right fibula, fractured his left wrist, injured his right big toe—let’s just say there’s a long list of injuries.

Until Beal proves that he can make it through a season in healthy form, there will be a massive question mark covering the length of his resume.
