The New York Knicks are in the market for 3-point shooters. Which under-the-radar sharpshooters would be ideal additions to the Knicks’ rotation?

The New York Knicks of 2016-17 won’t share many similarities with the New York Knicks of 2015-16. Carmelo Anthony, Jerian Grant, Robin Lopez, and Kristaps Porzingis are still under contract, but head coach Jeff Hornacek is expected to build a new identity.

In order to fulfill Hornacek’s vision for the Knicks, the front office will need to sign the hottest commodities of the modern era: 3-point shooters.

In 2015-16, 10 of the 13 teams that attempted at least 2,000 3-point field goals made the NBA Playoffs. In other words, just six of the 17 teams that attempted fewer than 2,000 3-point field goals reached the postseason.

The Knicks were one of the 17 teams that shot fewer than 2,000 3-point field goals.

New York needs more than just shooters, but rebuilding doesn’t come down to just one move. Thus, team president Phil Jackson will look to fill out the roster with players who fit the system.

Some shooters are already high-profile figures on the free agency scene, but the following under-the-radar sharpshooters could be critical additions to the Knicks’ roster.
