Providence Friars power forward Ben Bentil was one of the breakout stars of the 2015-16 college basketball season. Operating alongside potential Top 5 NBA Draft pick Kris Dunn, Bentil broke out as a versatile scoring threat.

Having made a full-time commitment to the NBA, the 21-year-old power forward is hoping to expand his success into the role of a stretch 4.

Bentil has a skill set that could be put to use by New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek. He’s not necessarily a carbon copy of Marcus Morris or Markieff Morris, but has a similar build and skill set to both.

The Morris Twins, of course, played for Hornacek as members of the Phoenix Suns, and earned respect for their versatility as scorers.

Bentil’s length, strength, and physicality are assets down low, but it’s his improving range as a shooter that’s most intriguing. He made 52 3-point field goals in 2015-16, which is a drastic improvement from the nine he converted in 2014-15.

Bentil is improving quickly and earning fans in the NBA Draft world. He could be worth interviewing and working out.
