3. Nando De Colo, CSKA Moscow

Nando De Colo turned heads in his limited appearances with the San Antonio Spurs in 2012-13 and 2013-14. He took a two-year deal to sign with European powerhouse CSKA Moscow in 2014—a contract that expires in 2016.

It’d behoove the New York Knicks to, at the very least, explore the possibility of shoring up the perimeter.

De Colo is a 6’5″ point guard with a near 6’6″ wingspan and the 200-pound build to physically overwhelm the opposition. He has become an elite shooter since returning to Europe, as evidenced by his average of 1.7 3-point field goals made on 46.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc in 2015-16.

Considering he shot 36.3 percent from 3-point range during his two-year NBA career, it stands to reason that De Colo could be a force to be reckoned with.

The Knicks need to improve at both point guard and shooting guard, and that includes the need to add superior shooters. De Colo certainly qualifies as such, with the 2015 VTB United League MVP and championship title to show for it.

If the past two years in Russia are a sign of what De Colo can bring to an NBA team, then he’ll be the perfect fit for the Triangle Offense.
