Having already listed the best available power forwards, the next logical step is determining who’s realistically attainable for the New York Knicks.

With Kristaps Porzingis and Robin Lopez being developed as the interior tandem of the future, the New York Knicks don’t need to sign a power forward. Porzingis has superstar potential, and he should see an increase in playing time during his second season.

Every great team needs an ideal measure of depth, however, and that’s something New York must look to acquire.

Phil Jackson has a long history of utilizing a backup big man in a critical role in the Triangle Offense. Robert Horry played vital minutes as a backup to the likes of A.C. Green, Horace Grant, and Samaki Walker for the Los Angeles Lakers during early 2000s, and Lamar Odom did the same in relief of Pau Gasol in the late 2000s.

Both approaches helped the Lakers win big, with a combined five championships won under Jackson—then a head coach and now team president of the Knicks.

The available free agent options at power forward aren’t exactly players of Horry or Odom’s caliber. They all bring something strong to the table, however, and their acquisition would spell improvement from the 2015-16 squad.

The question is, who are the best fitting free agent power forwards?
