One of the most intriguing players on the open market is Orlando Magic swingman Evan Fournier. A 6’7″ shooting guard with versatility as a scorer, Fournier looked like a genuine star at different points of the 2015-16 NBA season.

Still only 23 years old, very few players would be better to invest in as the future of New York’s point guard position than Fournier.

Fournier is an outstanding shooter who sank 156 3-point field goals on 40.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc in 2015-16. He also made 83.6 percent of his free throw attempts, and 50.6 percent of his 2-point field goals.

Fournier has now improved his 2-point and 3-point field goal percentages in three consecutive seasons.

Fournier had two 30-point games and 24 outings with at least 20 in 2015-16—a number that very clearly displays his potential. He scored at least 15 points in 45 different games, and did all of this while maintaining a season slash line of .462/.400/.836.

Fournier’s midrange game and defense are weaknesses, but he’s a fantastic 3-point shooter with the potential to be a true asset to the Knicks in 2016-17 and many seasons to come.
