Phil Jackson was introduced by owner James Dolan as team president of the New York Knicks on March 18, 2014. In the near two years that have followed, Jackson has gutted the roster, re-signed the franchise player, drafted the future face of the organization, and provided equal measures of intrigue and frustration.

On Friday, March 11, 2016, seven days shy of a full two years since his hiring, Jackson opened up about the future of the organization.

The future of the Knicks has been cloudy, to say the very least. Not only has star Carmelo Anthony been constantly involved in trade rumors, but Jackson himself has been referenced as one of the many who could be leaving New York in the near future.

Rather than remaining mum about what’s to come, Jackson allowed the media to peak into the mind of The Zen Master. He opened up about Anthony, spoke on the pursuit of a head coach, and even commented on the prospect of his own departure from the Knicks.
