Timberwolves Interested in Tom Thibodeau… What are the Knicks doing…

The Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in Tom Thibodeau. What are the New York Knicks doing… they need to hire him…
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Minnesota Timberwolves are interested in Tom Thibodeau. (H/T to Dan Feldman of NBC Sports)
“Source are telling me that there’s already been some cursory contact between – either backchannels or whatever – between the Wolves and Thibodeau.”
Before the 2015-2016 season started, Minnesota’s head coach and team president Flip Saunders stepped down due to lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system. On October 25, 2015, Saunders died from the cancer. Sam Mitchell was then named the interim head coach for the rest of the season.
Currently at the All-Star break the Timberwolves hold the third-worst record in the Western Conference at 17-37, holding only more wins than the Phoenix Suns (14) and Los Angeles Lakers (11). Clearly management is not content with this and felt that Mitchell has underachieved, with news of Minnesota’s interest in Thibodeau.

Recently the New York Knicks fired their head coach Derek Fisher, and named Kurt Rambis as the interim head coach moving forward. Clearly Rambis is not the long-term solution, who has amassed a 56-145 record as head coach before losing his debut game prior to the All-Star break.
There has been reports that Thibodeau has always wanted to be the head coach of the Knicks, as per Ian O’Connor of ESPN.
New York needs a permanent solution to their head coaching position! Thibodeau WANTS that position… why has this not happened already!
Thibodeau is even a fan Carmelo Anthony, who many might feel is a roadblock to getting a good head coach. Not this guy!
New York Knicks
Thibodeau has amassed a 255-139 record as head coach of the Chicago Bulls from 2010-2015! In his first season as head coach, Thibodeau’s system made Derrick Rose the league Most Valuable Player! Thibodeau has a career winning percentage of 64.7%! With how many games Rose has missed due to injury, he had no business winning that many games… But Thibodeau always got the best out of his team.
Although… maybe Thibodeau asked too much from his team at times, as a major criticism of his – is the way he handled player’s minutes. Especially players such as Rose, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. Many local pundits questioned whether their core player’s injuries were related to the excessive minutes Thiboeau demanded from them each and every night.
O’Connor suggested maybe that is something the “Zen Master” Phil Jackson can help with.
Although… the “Zen Master” might also be the problem… with his inflexibility to move away from the triangle offense, as clearly stated in a mini-essay he released upon Fisher’s firing.
Hopefully Jackson can look past the fact that Thibodeau is not a triangle head coach, and just hire him because he is the best man for the job. Thibodeau is clearly the most highly sort after head coach on the market, hopefully the Knicks at least get a meeting with him.
