In some of the best news of the 2015-16 season, the New York Knicks announced that Arron Afflalo would be active against the Charlotte Hornets. Afflalo missed a vast majority of the preseason and all eight regular season games, thus far.

He’ll replace Cleanthony Early on the active roster for New York’s clash with the Hornets.

The question is, what can New York realistically expect of him?

Given the amount of time he’s missed, specifically during the preseason, it’s safe to assume that Afflalo will struggle. The preseason is generally used to shake off rust, and Afflalo wasn’t afforded that luxury.

As a solid defender, versatile scorer, dangerous shooter and clutch hero, Afflalo’s presence will be massive in one phase or another.
