Through two games, no player has drawn the ire of New York Knicks fans quite like Jose Calderon. He’s struggled to do much of anything on either end, thus garnering calls for his job.

It’s only been two games, but Calderon desperately needs a better performance against the Washington Wizards.

The good news for Calderon is that he can’t possibly play any worse than he has in the Knicks’ first two outings. The bad news is that he’ll be facing one of the NBA’s Top 5 point guards in Wizards star John Wall.

Defensively, the Knicks are in trouble.

Offensively, Calderon can help the Knicks greatly if he spaces the floor and moves the ball as a facilitator. He’s the most accurate shooter on the roster, boasting a team-high career 3-point field goal percentage of .411.

With averages of 2.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 18.0 minutes, Calderon can only go up from here.
