Field Goal Percentage: Robin Lopez

One of the New York Knicks’ big men will lead the team in field goal percentage in 2015-16. Amongst the most likely candidates are Robin Lopeze, Kyle O’Quinn and Kevin Seraphin.

All three have a legitimate chance, but it’s Lopez who secures another statistical category.

Lopez has a career field goal percentage of .532. He converted 53.5 percent of his field goals in 2014-15 and made 55.1 percent of his attempts in 2013-14.

Lopez could exceed 10.0 field goal attempts per game for the first time in his career, which could be cause for concern. Fortunately, his career-high of 8.8 attempts per contest resulted in his shooting 53.4 percent from the floor.

Seraphin could end up excelling in this category, but Lopez should only improve his efficiency in the Triangle Offense.
