Minutes Per Game: Carmelo Anthony

A 31-year-old coming off of a knee surgery isn’t often the favorite to lead his team in minutes per game. That’s especially true when one considers how many young players are on the roster.

There’s simply no question that Carmelo Anthony will be No. 1 in this statistical category.

Anthony is the Knicks’ primary scorer and the leader in the locker room. He’s publicly expressed his support for his teammates and the organization, and that matters more than it may seem.

Not only will Anthony be trusted to shoulder the scoring load, but he’ll be tasked with maintaining the consistency of an otherwise starless rotation.
