If it weren’t official before, then it certainly is now: the New York Knicks have committed to the future. They’ve traded the likes of Tyson Chandler, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith, parted ways with Amar’e Stoudemire and have opted to shut down Carmelo Anthony for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Moving forward, the one thing New York has left to focus on is the 2015 NBA Draft.

At 10-46, the Knicks have the worst record, the least amount of victories and the most losses in the NBA. Only the 12-45 Philadelphia 76ers and 13-43 Minnesota Timberwolves are close to the Knicks in any of those regards.

In other words, the Knicks control their own destiny and could end up with the No. 1 overall draft pick this coming June. The draft lottery will go a long way towards determining that, but New York is on its way to top odds.

The question is, which prospects should Phil Jackson and the Knicks be targeting?
