Why not?
As previously alluded to, the Phoenix Suns traded Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat. Dragic previously listed the Heat as an option in free agency, but that doesn’t guarantee he’ll re-sign.
Until Dragic signs the dotted line, he’ll remain in play for the Knicks.
The odds may not be great, but the All-NBA point guard is worth investing in. He’s a dynamic player who’s a career 36.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc with great court vision and a tight handle.
He was named All-NBA and Most Improved Player in 2013-14, and has every skill necessary to lead the triangle. He’ll work well off-ball when Carmelo Anthony is dominating it and thrives in running the pick-and-roll.
It may not be likely, but New York shouldn’t give up hope until Dragic has signed his long-term contract with the Heat.
Next: Carmelo Anthony is done for the season. What's next?
