20 – Allan Houston– (1996-05) – Houston will always be remembered for this shot, but his career was far more than that moment. One of the NBA’s greatest shooters, Houston was lethal offensively, especially his midrange jumper and ability to get to the rim.

Houston averaged over 18 points a game over 9 seasons in NY, including 2 all star seasons and a trip to the NBA Finals in ’99.

Honorable Mention – Michael Ray Richardson – (1978-82) – Another player who was way ahead of his time. A big, 6’6” PG, Richardson, who was spectacular in his four seasons with the Knicks, averaging 14 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds was ultimately traded for Bernard King. His tremendous ability is on display below. Richardson was a 3 time All Star and 2 time All Defensive team player with the Knicks, but by 1986, he was banned from the NBA for drug use.
