13 – Mark Jackson – (1987-92 & 2000-02) – NY native and St John’s star Mark Jackson was Rookie of the Year and a fan favorite at the Garden. In Jackson’s 7 seasons with the Knicks he averaged 11 points and 8 assists. Jackson who ranks 4th all-time in the NBA in assists, did much of his best work as a member of the Indiana Pacers alongside Reggie Miller, battling the Knicks in several playoff series.
Honorable Mention – Ray Williams – (1977-81 & 83-84) – Another NY native and Point Guard, Williams was the first Knick ever to wear #13. Often out of control, Williams was a difficult to defend, averaging 20 points and 7 assists in his 7 seasons with the Knicks. Along side Bernard King, Williams led the Knicks in a memorable 1984 playoff run, averaging 14 points and 10 assists in the playoffs.
