4 – Carl Braun (1948-1961). In 14 seasons with the Knicks, the combo guard averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. During his tenure with the Knicks, he was a five-time all-star, two time All-NBA Second Team selection, and led the Knicks in scoring his first seven years in the league. This was enough to surpass Nate Robinson as the best #4 in Knicks history. Although Nate Robinson is the only 3-time Slam Dunk Contest champion and one of the most entertaining players in the NBA to watch, it’s not enough to beat out good ol’ Carl Braun.
