Cavs Steal Hawes (10:15 am EST)
My thoughts on the Hawes deal is that the Cavs did great here.
Giving up only two second round picks for a 7’1″ center who can spread the floor and averages 13 and 8?
The Sixers should have held onto him until at least closer to the deadline and see if they could have done better. They got next to nothing for him.
Sure Hawes is an expiring deal, but the Sixers could have done better. If not, make that deal at 3pm. Should have kept shopping him in case someone got desperate.

Now that they have acquired Hawes, the Cavs have turned their attention to shopping Tyler Zeller Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.
Zeller is much improved from a season ag and has done some nice things as of late but is in line for a reduced role now that Hawes is in the fold.
Spencer Hawes dealt to Cavs (10:00 am EST)
There we go.
The Sixers have dealt Hawes to the Cavs reports Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal looks to be for a pair of second round picks.
Hawes is a nice grab for the Cavs, who have suddenly won six in a row and they didn’t have to part with much to get him.
Let me know your thoughts on the deal in the comments section below.
