Wizards close to acquiring Andre Miller (12:28  pm EST)

The Nuggets and Wizards are engaged in “serious talks” about a deal that would send Andre Miller to Washington for Eric Maynor and Jan Vesely, tweets Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

There are also reports that the Nuggets need a third team involved as they aren’t crazy about the idea of acquiring Maynor.

If they find that third team, a Miller trade paves the way for them to acquire Beno Udrih from the Knicks.

If they don’t, the Knicks could find it hard to move Udrih.

Pistons shopping Josh Smith (12:25 pm EST)

The Detroit Pistons are shopping forward Josh Smith, who they signed to a big contract in the offseason.

However I wouldn’t expect a deal as Detroit is looking to acquire young assets and draft picks and not too many teams would be willing to do that to bring in a player like J-Smoove.

Will Rockets deal Omer Asik? (12:17 m EST)

One of the first names to hit the trade block this season was Houston Rockets’ center Omer Asik, but it doesn’t look like he will be moved.

The Bucks and Sixers have been linked to the big man in the past 24 hours, but the Rockets were strongly leaning toward keeping Asik as of last night, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.
