The Basketball Tournament brackets have been revealed. Find out which former members of the Westchester Knicks will be pursuing the $2 million prize!

The Basketball Tournament is almost here. On July 8 and 9, the Northeast and South regions will play in Philadelphia, Pensylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina. College alumni teams and teams with former NBA G League players are competing in the summer tournament.

When the field was announced, eight Westchester Knicks alumni could have made The Basketball Tournament. During TBT Jamboree, uKnighted, which had JR Inman and Dane Miller on the team, fell short to Silver Spring’s Willows Runners in their first match-up.

With six former Westchester Knicks competing in The Basketball Tournament and the jerseys revealed, there was one thing left to announce: the brackets.

The first two regions (Northeast and South) will be competing on opening weekend. In the South region, John Jenkins, who is a part of Memorial Magic, is the No. 6 seed. Their first matchup is against Golden Boot Dynasty.

One of the biggest challenges resides in the South region. The two-time defending champions, Overseas Elite, are the No. 1 seed. Since entering The Basketball Tournament two years ago, the squad hasn’t lost a game (13-0).

During the same weekend, the Northeast region will take place. In City of Gods’ first match-up, the No. 6 team will take on No. 11 Gaelnation (Iona alumni). In 2016, No. 1 seed City of Gods won the Northeast region, but fell to No. 2 seed Overseas Elite in the semifinals.

City of Gods features Lasan Kromah.

Last, but certainly not least, is the West region. In the West region, there are four Westchester Knicks alumni—the most former Dub Knicks players in a region.

No. 6 seed Team Challenge ALS will face off against No. 11 seed The Wasatch Front (Weber State alumni). Sean Marshall, who is the team’s GM and small forward, and Team Challenge ALS will be looking to advance in TBT.

On the same side of the bracket, No. 10 seed Team Fredette will compete against No. 7 seed Team Utah (Utah alumni). Coach Jimmer Fredette, guard Jordon Crawford, and Team Fredette will look to lead their team to a victory over Team Utah.

If both teams pick up two victories, there’s a chance of seeing the two squads face off in the Super 16.

Pedro’s Posse has returned and will be looking to win the $2 million grand prize. The No. 12 seed faces a tough challenge in their first match-up, as they take on the No. 5 seed Team 23.

Team 23 had success during the 2015 tournament, where the team made it to the Finals before falling short to Overseas Elite. Kevin Capers will compete on Pedro’s Posse.

The Basketball Tournament will feature a field of 5-on-5 games. There are 16 teams (a combined 64 teams) competing in the Northeast, Midwest, South and West regions, respectively.

The Northeast and South Region will compete on July 8 & 9, while the Midwest and West will compete on July 15 & 16. The Super 16 will be held in New York on July 20-23. The semifinals and Finals will take place in Baltimore, MD.

One team in each region (four total) will advance to TBT semifinals, which will take place on Aug. 1.

Finally, TBT finishes on Aug. 3 with the winning team taking home $2 million.
