The New York Knicks escaped with a 95-90 road win over the Brooklyn Nets. Who stepped up for the victorious Knicks in Brooklyn?

The New York Knicks entered Wednesday, Feb. 1 with a sense of desperation. Less than 24 hours removed from a 117-101 road loss to the Washington Wizards, however, the Knicks didn’t exactly display a sense of urgency.

Thankfully, an unlikely lineup stepped up and saved the Knicks from disaster against the lowly Brooklyn Nets.

New York didn’t capture its first lead over the Nets until there were less than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Its unsung heroes and rising stars stepped up in the final quarter of play, however, and saved the Knicks from disaster.

Though it wasn’t pretty, the Knicks improved to 22-29 and pulled to within 1.5 games of the No. 8 seed Charlotte Hornets.

In order to make a slight climb back up the standings, the Knicks needed a cast of unlikely performers to step up. As the starters struggled to do much of anything, the reserves took matters into their own hands and earned Jeff Hornacek’s trust in the fourth quarter.

The question is: who stepped up for the New York Knicks during the 95-90 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center?
