The New York Knicks need an influx of youth and athleticism. The question is, which grizzled veterans could be brought in to strengthen the locker room?

Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks know exactly what needs to be done during the upcoming period of free agency. There are obvious and glaring voids on the roster, and failing to address them would be simply inexcusable.

Beyond the obvious flaws, however, is one that should be addressed before it’s too late.

The Knicks need to build a more athletic roster, but that isn’t the lone necessity. Just as important is the glaring absence of consistency on the court, which in 2015-16, was a product of New York’s youth and inexperience.

Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose are the star veterans, but adding another established player to the mix could be what New York is missing.

In some instances, the opportunity exists for New York to sign a player with a decorated resume. In others, said player is a respected voice in the locker room who always seems to step up when his team needs him most.

The question is, which veterans should the Knicks sign to help keep the locker room together in 2016-17?
