The New York Knicks had no business winning on Friday, especially after the Heat opened up the third quarter with a 19-0 run. However, with Jalen Brunson on your side, anything is possible.

The thing about the Knicks is that they will fight and claw their way back into the game, regardless of the deficit. New York doesn't give up. Miami fans had to be satisfied as they watched their team go up by as many as 21 points in the third quarter, but they didn't know what was coming.

Eight of Brunson's 24 points came in the game's final three minutes. He was playing through an apparent shoulder injury after an and-1 play that caused him to miss the free throw, but that didn't matter. He's tough.

Brunson might've been the star of the show as the closer, but don't forget about Immanuel Quickley. He finished with 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal for a team-high +/- of +22. Quickley sparked the comeback on both ends of the floor.

The Knicks were at risk of being eliminated from the knockout round of the In-Season Tournament, but their hopes are still alive after the 100-98 win.

While it initially looked like fans at the Garden would witness a blowout loss against a hated rival, the opposite happened. The fans who sat in front of their televisions in agony during the third quarter without turning the game off were in for a treat, too.

A relationship with the Knicks is toxic, but gritty wins like that one makes it all worth it. It was much-needed after Monday's deflating 17-point loss to the Timberwolves.

The icing on the cake on Friday was Jimmy Butler missing the game-winning three-pointer as the buzzer sounded.

New York can't change what happened in the playoffs, but fans would be lying if they said the comeback win wasn't made that much more satisfying because it came against Miami. Erik Spoelstra, you couldn't get us this time!
