Best NBA prop bets today for Hornets vs. Knicks (Jalen Brunson is must bet as scorer)

Jalen Brunson has been hot scoring the ball for the Knicks, making him a terrific prop target on Tuesday night.

The New York Knicks have some major NBA In-Season Tournament hopes at stake on Tuesday night, as they need a win – and to hold the point differential lead – to advance to the final eight teams in Las Vegas.

New York is a 12-point favorite against the Charlotte Hornets – a team that the Knicks have beaten twice already this season – on Tuesday, but I think the most value is in the prop market.

Charlotte is likely going to be without LaMelo Ball (ankle, doubtful), so this spread has become a little too rich for my liking. Still, Ball’s injury gives some value to one Charlotte player, and there are two Knicks I love in the prop market tonight.

Let’s dive into the best prop plays for Knicks-Hornets:

Hornets vs. Knicks best NBA prop bets

  • Jalen Brunson OVER 25.5 points
  • Julius Randle OVER 1.5 3-pointers made
  • Brandon Miller OVER 13.5 points

Jalen Brunson OVER 25.5 points

Jalen Brunson is coming off a 35-point game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, and he’s scored at least 24 points in seven straight games, clearing 25.5 points on five different occasions.

The last time these teams faced off, Brunson scored 32 points on 12-of-21 shooting in a Knicks win.

Charlotte is one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA, ranking 27th in opponent points per game and 30th in defensive rating. I love this prop for Brunson against a soft defense on Tuesday.

Julius Randle OVER 1.5 3-pointers made

Julius Randle has not shot the ball well to start this season, especially from beyond the arc.

He’s shooting just 27.4 percent from 3, but it hasn’t stopped him from attempting shots from 3. He’s taken at least four shots from deep in every game this season, hitting two more 3-pointers in half of his appearances.

Jules did shoot 2-for-5 from beyond the arc in his last game against Charlotte, so I don’t mind taking a shot on him in this prop. Most of the time, you’ll see Randle’s 3-point prop around 2.5, so there could be some value tonight.

Brandon Miller OVER 13.5 points

Charlotte rookie Brandon Miller has destroyed the Knicks this season.

In the first meeting between these teams, Miller was injured in the first quarter (he did not return), but it didn’t stop him from scoring 11 points in 9:56 while shooting 5-for-6 from the field.

He then turned in a career-high 29 points against the Knicks on Nov. 18, shooting 10-for-15 from the field in that game.

Miller should see an uptick in his usage with Ball likely out, so I don’t mind taking the new Knicks killer to go OVER 13.5 points.
