5. Brice Sensabaugh, G, Ohio State

Heading into the start of the college basketball season, I’m not sure there were many scouts that were projecting Brice Sensabaugh to be a high draft pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. In fact, coming out of high school, he was just the 45th-ranked high school player by ESPN. Nevertheless, he’s coming off a potentially life-changing freshman season at Ohio State. Now, there’s a chance he could be taken just outside the lottery in this year’s NBA Draft.

Sensabaugh is coming off a season in which he led the Buckeyes in scoring with 16 points per game. He added five rebounds per contest and was extremely efficient, hitting at a 48% clip overall and a 41% clip from three-point range. The next couple of months will be interesting for Sensabaugh. Despite the fact that he somewhat outperformed his pre-season expectations, I believe he still has some work to do during his pre-draft process.

But if the Knicks are looking for a potential offensive sparkplug off the bench, Sensabaugh may be a great selection at this point in the NBA Draft. And with the way that he blossomed during his freshman season, there’s a case to be made that he clearly still has some untapped potential.
