125. Kentucky. Tyty Washington Jr. . 16. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. PG/SG

The Hawks could use another point guard on their roster to come in for Trae Young when he needs it. They could take Kentucky’s TyTy Washington Jr. for that exact role.

The Hawks took a chance on Sharife Cooper last year in the second round, although he did not see much action with the team at all. They still are high on Cooper, but taking a point guard here to really figure out who will man that second unit makes the most sense to me.

Washington is a versatile guard who won’t give you much on defense but loves to control the game, making great passes and giving his big men beautiful lobs. Like Young, his floater game is quite effective as well.

Because this class is not the most point guard focused group, he could find himself going even sooner than 16.

Ousmane Dieng. 17. 169. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. SF/PF. NZ Breakers. player

Ousmane Dieng is a project who likely won’t see any major minutes for at least his first year, in my opinion. He is an Australian 6’10” point forward who has the potential skillset to be a nice NBA player.

His lanky frame allows him to get where he wants in just one step. He also can handle the ball extremely well for someone his height. His shot form isn’t the prettiest and at times he can be a bit timid rebounding or absorbing contact at the rim.

Dieng struggled heavily in his first few games in the NBL, but that didn’t turn him off, which is a good sign. He consistently showed improvements in shooting the ball and being able to portray some rare point forward skills. And for that, I think a team like the rebuilding Rockets will take a chance on him.
